- I Will Not Make Any More Boring Art
- (after John Baldessari)
In 1971, Baldessari was commissioned by the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design to create an original, on-site work. Unable to make the journey himself, Baldessari suggested that the school’s students voluntarily write the phrase "I will not make any more boring art" on the gallery walls.
In 2008, I recreated this work at The Fuel Collection in Philadelphia. I started the piece by writing the title phrase a number of times and the work was continued by visitors to the exhibition.
