I created this painting during Julian Schnabel's exhibition of the "Big Girl" paintings at Gagosian Gallery -- just down the block from the spot on West 24th Street where I sell the Bootlegs. Mr. Schnabel stopped one day on his way to the gallery and told me that I, "got the blues all wrong."
