Acrylic on Canvas, 24 x 90", 1999

G is based on the exterior design of one type of car on the New York MTA. These cars run on several different lines, one of which is the G Line, hence the title. The square shapes represent doors and windows.

Although it is hard to see in a photograph, most of the greys are actually different shades of metallic silver paint. The painting is highly reflective and the hues change substantially if one views the painting from different angles.
